Music Lesson FAQ
TUITION RATES AND PAYMENT:
All lessons are paid for in advance. Go to the Booking page and choose to either schedule a single lesson or book a lesson package. Single lesson bookings are ideal for initial lessons if you’re trying to decide if my lessons are the right fit for you! Lesson packages are ideal for you if you want to book the same day and time and have a slot reserved for you each week. If you book a package you will receive a confirmation email for your product order that includes a certificate code which you will use for scheduling the classes. I can also assist you with scheduling. The price per lesson comes down when you buy in bulk. Also, when you book a single lesson at a time, the slot is not reserved, it is first come first serve.
SINGLE LESSONS: For those that would like to schedule 'one-off' or 'a la carte' or 'pay-as-you-go' weekly lessons, rates are as follows:
30 min lessons: $38
45 min lessons: $58
60 min lessons: $78
90 min lessons: $118
Payment for a la carte lessons must be paid a minimum of 12 hours in advance.
LESSON PACKAGES:
For those interested in paying lessons by the month there are 4 and 5 lesson packages available:
30 min lessons: $36 ($144-$180 per month @4 or 5 weeks)
45 min lessons: $54 ($216-$270 per month @4 or 5 weeks)
60 min lessons: $72 ($288-$360 per month @ 4 or 5 weeks)
90 min lessons: $110 ($440-$550 per month @4 or 5 weeks)
There is also a 10 lesson package option available for those that would prefer to make payments less frequently:
30 minute 10 lesson package $360
45 minute 10 lesson package $540
60 minute 10 lesson package $720
90 minute 10 lesson package $ 1,080
FORMS OF PAYMENT:
I accept the following options for payment: PayPal, Visa/MasterCard/American Express. Cryptocurrency payments are also an option, please inquire if interested.
GOOGLE MEET/FACETIME STUDENTS:
My website automatically generates a Google Meet for each class. It is different for every class and you will receive an automated email reminder with a link in your email 24 hours prior to class. I will use FaceTime by request or as a back up but make sure you communicate what email or phone number to use prior to class.
IN-STUDIO LESSONS:
A limited number of in- person slots are availble and are typically reserved for personal and local references. Inquire HERE if you are a local/personal reference looking for in person classes. Proof of identity is required. All payment and scheduling is done in advance and a part of the same online calendar and payment system as online students. Studio information will be released after payment. You are always welcome to use the Google Meet provided during inclement weather and not feeling well but feeling well enough to meet online!
REFERRAL DISCOUNT PROGRAM:
Word of mouth has always been my keys to success as an instructor! For any client that you refer to me that signs up, I will offer a free lesson.
ATTENDANCE POLICY AND CANCELATIONS:
All missed lessons can be rescheduled with 24-hours advanced notice of cancelation. A 24 hour cancellation period is enforced to allow the opportunity to reschedule lessons. You can reschedule your class using your email that you received when you scheduled the class or contact me directly to assist. There is an option within the email to reschedule, allow the prompts and use the online calendar. Failure to give a 24-hour notice can forfeit your lesson with no make-up lesson. If a student cancels, then make-ups are at my discretion. Once a make-up is scheduled, there is no make-up class for a missed make-up class. If I have to cancel a lesson, per your choice, a credit or a make-up will be offered
INCLEMENT WEATHER:
I do not base cancellations with public/private school cancellations during inclement weather conditions. Contact me if you have any concerns regarding weather conditions. Online lessons are generally offered or a credit may be issued under inclement weather circumstances. You are also welcome to reschedule the lesson if interested.
Holidays & Breaks: Tuition rates are flexible only during the following school breaks and holidays: Fall, Spring, Summer break, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Independence Day. Your lesson slot will be forfeit as well as any grandfathered tuition rate if you take more than 3 weeks off in a row during the summer.
COMMUNICATION:
Let's maintain contact regarding our schedules! Good communication and respect for my time is essential in making a commitment to a lesson time. Be clear about cancellations in order to maintain your place on my roster. When you set up your monthly payments, review your schedule for any conflicts and I will always do my best to reschedule those lessons in advance. The more notice you are able to give, the better!
CHANGES TO SCHEDULE:
You are responsible for your time slot until you give clear notice of your intent to stop. A 2-week advance notice of intent to stop lessons or change lesson times is required.
